"The tooth hurts"

Films: The Dentist (1996), The Dentist 2: Brace Yourself (1998)

Alias: Dr. Lawrence Cain

Type: Natural

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: People are anxious about going to the doctor, but not nearly as much as going to the dentist, it seems. Then again, how would you like it if someone probed at one of your most sensitive areas with sharp objects? Then again, at least your dentist can't think of a hundred ways to mutilate you...

History: Dr. Alan Feinstone seems to have it pretty good. He's got a great family, and everyone praises him for his skills as a dentist. Then he found out that his wife was doing the poolman. That little betrayal broke his mind, and made his super OCD complex rise horrifically. Now when he looks at teeth, he either sees an enemy, or really rotten teeth. And when he does, he goes WAY too far to fix it up...

Notable Kills: Anytime he mutilates a person's face, it makes us never want to visit the dentist again. Standout moments include the jawbreaker, injecting a person’s throat full of air, and...that extended torture scene in the sequel...no...

Final Fate: The first film has Alan committed and put under the knife by his vengeful mutilated wife, but he manages to escape in the next film, only to eventually get a bunch of nails to the face, forcing him to become a fugitive forever.

Powers/Abilities: None

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 4.5-This is one of the scariest serial killers to not have a franchise. He's a perfectly sane man on the outside, but he becomes a nightmare as a dentist, his hallucinations and delusions manifesting into gory, visceral destruction of his patients' mouths. And his desperate pleas for sanity only make things more unsettling.

Trivia: -A real life example of a killer dentist came in the form of Glennon Engleman. Though to his credit, his killings were from his times as a secret hitman rather than as a homicidal dentist.

-Coincidentally, Tobe Hooper was planning on making a more sci-fi based dentist movie as this one was being made, but it went nowhere.

His pleasure AND torment.

Good luck with that.

Keep a hold of that humanity, please. Otherwise, not even children will be safe.
Sorry! Just cancelled!

Please stop! I can't bear to look!

JESUS NO!

This is really no way to live.

That's it! I'm done!
Pulling teeth even benignly is awful!

With all these needles, need I remind the dentist that that's for the killer doctors?
